Charlie Webster competes in the 2010 Macmillan 4x4 UK Challenge

Athlete, Model and TV Presenter, Charlie Webster will drive a 1995 300Tdi Defender in the Macmillan 4x4 UK challenge over the weekend of 5th - 7th March 2010 in one of the Beds, Herts and Cambs Land Rover Club's (BHCLRC) teams.
 
The Mac 4x4 is a long-distance, annual, four-wheel drive navigational endurance event in aid of Macmillan Cancer Support that has taken place every March since 2002. Starting in the West Midlands and covering up to 1000 miles on and off road in less than three days.
 
Charlie’s participation will help raise awareness of the event and subsequently boosted sponsorship opportunities, all of which goes directly to Macmillan. The Mac 4x4 currently raises approximately £100,000 per year for Macmillan Cancer Support, with a grand total of over half a million pounds (GBP) to date.

Charlie Webster is one of the UK’s brightest new TV talents. 
Her achievements make for impressive reading:

        ·     Presented live Premier League football in Asia and Australasia for ESPN / Star Sports to audiences of 350 million

        ·     Presenting Live Speedway on Sky Sports for the past year

        ·     Reported for BBC, ITV and Setanta on a host of different sports

        ·     Co-hosted an internet TV show with Tim Lovejoy – Channelbee.com

        ·     The face of Real Madrid TV, regularly interviewing international stars such as Beckham, Zidane and Raul – Charlie is fluent in Spanish and German

        ·     Reported and interviewed musicians and celebrities for MTV

        ·     A Nike Women ambassador, encouraging females of all ages to get active

Charlie will also be competing in the London Marathon in April and running for Women’s Aid – a national charity aiming to end domestic violence against women and children.

Previous celebrity supporters of the ‘Mac 4x4’ include Julia Bradbury, Lynn Bowles, Sunita Shroff and Charlie Dimmock.
