Watchdog to Defender! Julia Bradbury competes in the Macmillan 4x4 UK Challenge TV presenter Julia Bradbury drove a 1995 300Tdi Defender in the Macmillan 4x4 UK challenge over the weekend of 6th - 8th March 2009 in one of the Beds, Herts and Cambs Land Rover Club's (BHCLRC) teams. The Mac 4x4 is a long-distance four-wheel drive navigational endurance event in aid of Macmillan Cancer Support starting in the West Midlands and covering up to 1000 miles in less than three days. Julia's participation helped raise awareness of the event and subsequently boosted sponsorship opportunities, all of which goes directly to Macmillan. The Mac 4x4 currently raises approximately £100,000 per year for Macmillan, with a grand total of over half a million pounds (GBP) to date. Julia Bradbury is one of television's most experienced and versatile presenters and co-hosts BBC1's prime time consumer affairs programme Watchdog.
